About Us

Community Advocates provides specialized services and advocacy to help individuals and families meet their most basic needs, including safe and affordable housing, adequate health care, and affordable heat and utilities. The agency also provides case management, disability advocacy services to individuals with disabilities who are seeking Social Security disability benefits, and services to assist people with domestic violence, substance abuse and mental health issues. To reduce barriers for some of Milwaukee’s most underserved and at-risk populations, Community Advocates is one of the few remaining organizations that welcomes walk-in clients five days a week at its main office located at 4906 W. Fond du Lac Avenue, Milwaukee, 53216.

Who We Serve

Founded in 1976, more than 50,000 individuals are touched by the programs and services of Community Advocates each year. The majority of the agency’s clients are racial and ethnic minorities, present with extremely low income levels, and reside in Milwaukee County.

Our Commitment

Community Advocates has a longstanding history of providing high quality, client-centered services.
