Helping People Meet Their Basic Needs
To forward its mission, Community Advocates provides client-centered services and advocacy to help people meet their basic needs. Services include: health care advocacy, housing assistance and homelessness prevention, utility services, case management and protective payee services, and disability advocacy services. The agency also provides housing and on-site case management for homeless people who have chronic mental illness as well as comprehensive domestic violence services, which includes emergency shelter, counseling, and case management. All services are delivered utilizing a wraparound philosophy in which clients work in partnership with staff to meet their needs and achieve their goals.
To further support those we serve, Community Advocates also focuses on public policy issues that adversely impact low-income individuals and families and develops effective strategies to bring about social policy change.
The agency maintains office hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday at 4906 W. Fond du Lac Avenue, Milwaukee, 53216. Walk-in clients are welcome.
