Utility Services

Community Advocates’ Utility Department is committed to providing comprehensive advocacy and referral services for low income energy consumers located in Milwaukee County including:

  • Energy Advocacy (bill payment plans, self advocacy, your rights and responsibilities)
  • Case Management (budgeting, understanding your bill, resource referrals)
  • Energy Education/Conservation (workshops)
  • Telecommunication (lifeline/link up, who qualifies, benefits)
  • The Milwaukee Energy Network (problem solving, energy highlights and updates)

The Utility Department accepts referrals from local and state agencies and walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis at 728 North James Lovell St., Milwaukee, WI 53233.

Until March 1

  • Mondays, 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.
  • Tuesdays-Thursdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Fridays, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Spring Hours, March 1-May 15

  • Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday, 4:30-6 p.m.— By appointment only
  • Saturdays, 8 a.m.- noon—By
    appointment only
